Kyle was born a natural captain, he could run a boat before he could walk. His dad Ken had him dialed in with mechanical skills to fix anything at a young age. By the age of 13 he rebuilt his first boat, and was plotting his own boating trips around the Puget Sound. At an early age he set his sights on earning his captain’s license. It was a tactical path Kyle started, and he went on to study engineering at Oregon State University. Kyle embraced every opportunity placed in front of him; in college he stumbled into underground mining which led to promotions including Project Manager and Staff Engineer. With his continued success, he bought a house, broadened his natural mechanic skills, and learned the construction trade. When the opportunity arose to crawl out from under his rock and return to the boating world, Kyle knew he had to take it. It was with this love of rebuilding Kyle embraced starting a charter company with a beautiful tug. Every day he enjoys the challenge of seeing another project come to life. With a USCG master’s license under his belt, Kyle is set on taking Mocean to even greater distances. Kyle takes great pride in being able to bring honesty, and trustworthiness to the marine industry. If it is installing new equipment, managing a boat while you live in far away places, or bringing your boat from afar to you, Kyle ensures it is done right.

Ashley has always had a passion for the expansive outdoors. She grew up with her family adventuring throughout the Pacific Northwest. Summers were spent exploring campground after campground with her family, making the nomadic life something she craved. For a period of time, Ashley worked with Boeing, quickly becoming one of her division’s top performers. With a move taking her south to Olympia, she started to work in real estate. Realizing the office life was not for her, she went in search of something more fulfilling, finding herself as a carpenter’s apprentice. With irreplaceable skills learned, she could take on anything. She set her sights higher and found herself building Mocean Yacht Charters. Once Ashley and Kyle realized they were made for greater things in the yachting industry, they adjusted their sails, and remade the company. Now she helps others charter their yachts, deliver yachts, and help anyone with a project aboard. They are finally reaching more people and reviving what it means to work in the industry. Ashley takes pride in being able to create personalized service for every client. She worked hard to obtain her captain’s license, and knows the world is her oyster.
